Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about Supplete — our editorial process, how we evaluate supplements, shop policies and more.

Editorial & Content

How do you decide which supplements to review?

We prioritise ingredients with a meaningful volume of clinical evidence — primarily randomised controlled trials and systematic reviews. We look at PubMed, Cochrane and other scientific literature databases. Popularity alone does not influence our selection.

Do you receive payments from supplement brands to write reviews?

No. Our content is entirely editorially independent. We do not accept sponsored reviews, paid placements or free products in exchange for coverage. Any commercial relationships are clearly disclosed.

Are your articles written by qualified professionals?

Our editorial content is researched and reviewed against primary scientific literature. We cite our sources and clearly distinguish between well-established findings and emerging or contested evidence. See our About page for more.

What does your evidence tier system mean?

We classify each supplement into one of four tiers based on the quality and consistency of clinical evidence: Essential, Complementary, Common but Contested, and Limited Evidence Base. These tiers reflect the current scientific consensus, not our personal opinion.

Shop & Orders

Where do you ship?

We currently ship within the European Union. See our shipping page for full details including delivery times and costs.

What is your returns policy?

We offer returns within 30 days of purchase for unopened products. See our returns page for the full policy and how to initiate a return.

How are shop products selected?

Products in our shop are selected against the same criteria as our editorial reviews — ingredient form, dose alignment with clinical evidence, third-party testing, and label transparency. We do not list products that fail our quality threshold.

Medical & Safety

Does Supplete provide medical advice?

No. Our content is educational and informational only. Nothing on this site constitutes medical advice or replaces consultation with a qualified healthcare professional. Always consult your doctor before starting any supplementation protocol, particularly if you have a medical condition or take prescription medication.

Can supplements interact with medications?

Yes — many supplements have documented interactions with pharmaceuticals. We include known interaction information in our individual ingredient reviews where the evidence exists. This is one of the reasons professional medical advice is important before supplementing.
